Ghana Bird-walk by BirdLife International

Free monthly bird-walk open to everyone. Birdwalks take place on the first Saturday of every month. (This month at Dawhenya Irrigation Dam). Visit the Flickr account for the bird walk photos. Krokobite Surf Festival (2 days)

Surf contests, barbecues, film screenings and other surf-related activities. In addition to celebrating the sport, participants also give back to our ocean, waves and beaches by organizing beach cleanups.

Sailing Club Race Day

The first Sunday of every month is race day. Generally there is a short race outside the club starting at 11am followed by a longer race around some of the local islands. After the race there is a barbeque which gives an opportunity to dissect the outcome of the races.

Accra Hash Run

The Accra chapter of the Hash House Harriers meets every Monday at various locations throughout Accra.  They put together weekend Hashes more or less once a month as well. These affairs are arranged outside of Accra for a change of scenery. As with any and all Hash groups, they are a Drinking Club with a Running problem. Currently they have about 35 dedicated members and on some nights support up to 75.

Ghana Paragliding Festival

Since 2003, tandem pilots have gathered from around the world, during Easter weekend, to fly local Ghanaian spectators and foreign visitors. During the festival, participants can enjoy exploring various aspects of Ghana's culture, including: tasting local foods, hearing local music, observing traditional customs, flying over the region's beautiful ecosystems and meeting people from various parts of the world.

River Hike

Travel by bus to the river in the Eastern Region and after visiting some waterfalls, hike for about 30 minutes across some plains and down to the river bed.

Overnight Endurance Hike

Overnight hikes involve setting up camp in the bush and spending the night in a tent or openly under the stars. These hikes are a combination of standard and advanced hikes. It very much depends which trail or non-trail we choose.
